The purpose of Ascent Talent Consulting is to build leaders who drive performance and create cultures that scale.
I work with founders and leadership teams who understand that growth is not just about strategy. It is about behaviour, accountability and the quality of leadership at every level.
I left school at 16 with no clear plan other than to step away from academia, work and see the world. That decision took me to Australia, where I found myself selling encyclopaedias door to door. It was not glamorous, but it built resilience, discipline and self belief. It also taught me something fundamental. Growth happens when you are stretched beyond what feels comfortable.
Being promoted early in my career exposed me to the complexity of leading people. I quickly learned that leadership is not about a title. It is about understanding what drives individuals, how to motivate change, and recognising that every person requires something different from you as their leader. That insight has shaped my entire career.
Over the past 30 years I have built, led and scaled teams across the UK and internationally. I have hired and developed high performing leaders, supported founders through growth, and seen repeatedly that culture determines whether success is sustainable or short lived.
In 2023, I founded Ascent Talent Consulting to do leadership development differently. I design bespoke, commercially grounded programmes supported by coaching to ensure learning translates into measurable behavioural change. My approach is direct, practical and aligned to business outcomes.
I partner with scaling and established businesses who are serious about attracting exceptional talent, developing confident leaders and retaining high performers as they grow.
Outside of work, you will usually find me outdoors. Cross country running, skiing, eventing my horse, good food, good wine and time with my family.
